Solar Inverter Fault 58 Repair Guide Understanding Fault 58
Solar Inverter Fault 58 Causes and Solutions
Fault 58 typically indicates an issue with the output voltage of your solar inverter This could be due to a variety of factors including
Visual inspection Look for any signs of physical damage overheating or loose connections
Check for component failures If you have experience with electronics you can test individual components like MOSFETs or Transformers
Consult a professional If you're unsure about troubleshooting internal components it's best to consult a qualified technician
Check for External Factors
Verify grid connection: If your inverter is grid-tied ensure the grid connection is secure and functioning properly
Inspect wiring Check for any loose or damaged wires in the solar system
Additional Tips
Refer to the inverter manual The manual will provide specific troubleshooting steps and error code explanations for your particular model
Keep a log of the issue Record the date time and any relevant details about the fault to help identify the root cause
Consider professional help If you're unable to resolve the issue yourself consult a qualified solar technician
Note: Repairing solar inverters can be complex and requires technical knowledge If you're unsure about any of the steps
it's best to seek professional assistance to avoid further damage or injury
Hello friends today I have received an inverter with fault number 58 today we will find the fault of this inverter and fix it then see where it is.
You can see in this picture that almost all the IGBTs and all the resistors diodes zeners and optocouplers in the output area of the inverter are damaged and a chopper transformer is also damagedNow to fix this first we will rewind the transformer and then replace all the bad parts without the IGBT
To fix fault 58 it is necessary to work very carefully step by step in repairing this fault 58 reverse the transformer and change the rest of the equipment then run it and check after running it a digital To check the frequency at the gate of IGBT with frequency meter if AC voltage is coming at the gate then it is ok else you check the output of this transformer then if it is ok then check the opto coupler all the parts Check again until the IGBT gates work properly
In Fault 58 if the gate voltage is too low or too high there is a risk of burning the IGBT so work carefully While fixing Fault 58 sometimes expensive MOSFETs burn and take a lot of damage so the fault Be careful in 58 now
If your gate voltage is correct then install the mosfet and clean the circuit board thoroughly
Now run it if your inverter is working fine then let it run for atleast 10 minutes fault 58 may come again if you have not fixed the transformer then fault 58 comes again so for ten minutes it Run it when you're done with it then pay homage to its owner
